NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship 2027-2028 (up to $60,000)
Overview
The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program provides up to $60,000 per award for PhD research that advances accelerated computing. Fellows work with NVIDIA researchers and complete a required in-person summer internship before the award year. NVIDIA Research aims to develop technology and find breakthroughs that bring positive change to the world. Beyond publishing papers and presenting at conferences, it applies its work to NVIDIA solutions and services, shares resources and code, and offers hands-on experience through technical demos.
What you get
Research funding of up to $60,000 per award is administered through the fellow's university to cover stipend, tuition and mandatory fees. Fellows collaborate with NVIDIA researchers and technology, complete the in-person summer internship before the fellowship year, and present their research at GTC San Jose.
Who can apply
Applicants must have completed their first year of PhD-level studies and major in computer science, computer engineering, system architecture, electrical engineering or a related area. They must be actively engaged in research as part of their PhD thesis and stay a full-time, active PhD student throughout the nine-month award year, without planning to graduate before it ends. They must also be available for a summer internship at an eligible NVIDIA research office before the fellowship year begins. Full-time NVIDIA employees and their immediate family members cannot participate. The student's university must administer the award, with payment going to the university and not to the student.
Requirements
Applications are evaluated on student quality, including recommendation letters and academic performance and achievements; research quality, including results to date, the fellowship research proposal and publication record; and relevance to NVIDIA, including connection to its primary research domains and potential influence on the design, performance or use of future GPUs.
Key dates
The application deadline is October 30, 2026.
