Overview

The Nature Culture Fellowship 2027 is an international learning and collaboration programme hosted by the United States-based nonprofit organization Kinship. The programme explores how culture, storytelling, artivism, and grassroots initiatives can contribute to environmental action and social transformation. Running from February to August 2027, the fellowship brings together individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds across different generations. Participants can choose between two pathways: the Learning Journey Only pathway or the Learning Journey and Community Projects pathway.

Who can apply

The programme welcomes applicants from various professional and cultural backgrounds, including environmental activists, conservation professionals, storytellers, artists, community development practitioners, social justice advocates, young leaders, and individuals working with Indigenous knowledge.

What you get

Fellows participate in a global learning programme featuring 10 immersive online sessions beginning on February 5, 2027. Participants also gain opportunities for mentorship and global networking with an international community of changemakers. Additionally, fellows selected for the community projects pathway may receive micro-grants ranging from US$1,000 to US$2,000 to support grassroots initiatives implemented between April and August 2027.

How to apply

Interested individuals must complete the official online application form through the Kinship website. Applicants are required to select their preferred participation pathway during the application process. Forms are made available in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
