Eligible applicants must focus their solutions on regenerative agriculture themes pertinent to the Middle East and North Africa region. Acceptable solution areas include healthy soil regeneration, diversified crops, organic and bio-fertilisers, biodiversity enhancement, sustainable food security, and reduced use of chemicals. Additional relevant areas comprise water security, organic waste utilisation, livestock and agroforestry integration, carbon capture and sequestration, rural and social welfare, desertification and salinity reduction, and sustainable disease control using fewer synthetic pesticides. Solutions may be scientific, technological, process-based, or nature-based.
