Heinrich Böll Foundation Feminist Futures Fellowship 2027
Overview
The Heinrich Böll Foundation Washington DC Office presents the fifth iteration of its CSW Fellowship, titled the Heinrich Böll Foundation Feminist Futures Fellowship 2027. The program supports feminist experts to participate in the annual session of the Commission on the Status of Women held in New York City from March 8-19, 2027. The priority theme for this session focuses on accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls within the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The objectives of the fellowship include offering space, access, and experience within international institutions while connecting underrepresented voices to decision-makers. It delivers a learning and networking environment for emerging and experienced feminist leaders to advance their policy and advocacy goals, join a global network of change-makers, facilitate intergenerational and cross-regional debate, and help identify issues requiring further discussion and advocacy.
Who can apply
Candidates must be based in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, and represent the Global Majority. The program reserves specific seats for young feminists aged 21 to 35 who have not previously attended a CSW session, alongside consideration for more experienced profiles. Applications are also encouraged from Heinrich Böll Foundation partner organizations, regardless of their prior CSW experience.
