Global Women Connect Mentoring Programme 2026/2027
Overview
The Global Women Connect Mentoring Programme 2026/2027 is a journey of 9 to 12 months that pairs mentors and mentees in two-way learning relationships, where both partners benefit and grow. It is part of Global Women Connect, and priority is given to people in the Global South.
The programme aims to build trusted, collaborative relationships that help drive change at individual, organisational and environmental levels. Each relationship is led by the mentee, who sets the agenda and chooses the issues to explore, while the mentor provides a supportive, reflective space to think through challenges and opportunities.
The programme is delivered fully online, which makes it flexible across time zones. It is free to take part. Mentoring conversations happen every 4 to 6 weeks, supported by webinars.
What you get
Mentees can develop their leadership capability, build resilience, unlock their potential and improve performance. Mentors can develop mentoring and coaching skills, expand their reflective capability, strengthen problem solving and decision making, and grow emotional intelligence. Participants also take part in the Learning and Exchange community for ongoing development.
Who can apply
Mentees are leaders or future leaders in the humanitarian, development or social-impact sectors. Priority goes to leaders based in the Global South, including those working in resource-poor or crisis-affected settings. Mentors are experienced women leaders or managers in the same sectors who are interested in mentoring. Being bilingual in English and French, Arabic or Spanish is helpful but not necessary.
How to apply
Applicants answer a set of questions that the organisers use to match the most suitable mentees and mentors. Answers should be written in the applicant's own words, and in their own language if they wish. The organisers are interested in ambitions and experiences, and ask applicants to avoid responses generated by AI or copied from other sources.
Key dates
The application deadline is October 16, 2026.
