Global Thinkers Forum Announces International Mentorship Opportunities for Young Leaders and Women Through Telemachus and Athena Programmes 2027
Overview
The Global Thinkers Forum runs international mentorship initiatives through the Telemachus and Athena programmes. These initiatives connect emerging talent, young professionals, and women with experienced global thought leaders, executives, academics, and social-impact professionals. The programmes span eight months and are structured to provide personalized guidance aligned with the participant's individual goals, supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by fostering inclusive leadership, gender equality, education, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.
Who can apply
Applicants to the Telemachus programme must be between the ages of 18 and 29 and possess strong motivation, commitment, and critical-thinking abilities. Applicants to the Athena programme must be women aged 22 and above, with no upper age limit, demonstrating a commitment to personal growth, professional development, and leadership. Priority is given to candidates with fluent English-language proficiency and a completed bachelor's degree, though individuals with at least five years of relevant professional experience may be considered as an alternative. Candidates from various geographical regions and professional backgrounds are welcome to apply.
What you get
Selected participants take part in an eight-month mentorship experience that delivers individual guidance tailored to their personal aspirations and professional ambitions. Mentees receive opportunities to build leadership, communication, and critical-thinking capabilities, strengthen sector-specific expertise, and gain insights into entrepreneurship, business, governance, and social impact. The experience also allows participants to expand international professional networks, identify strengths, receive career progression guidance, and cultivate a deeper understanding of responsible leadership and accountability.
