Fully Sponsored ISO Certification Programme 2026 for Ugandan Companies: Apply by 30 October

Overview

Eligible Ugandan companies operating in the energy and natural resources sectors can apply for a fully sponsored ISO certification programme. Offered by Electrical Instrumentation Telecommunications and Security Systems, which is an EACOP Tier-One Contractor, the initiative aims to strengthen national content, improve operational standards, and enhance business competitiveness for participation in opportunities within Uganda's energy industry and other sectors.

Who can apply

The programme targets enterprises rather than individuals seeking personal certification. Interested applicants must be registered on the Petroleum Authority of Uganda National Supplier Database and classified as a Ugandan company, operate in an eligible sector, have been operational for at least three years, employ a minimum of 10 people, maintain an operational physical office in Uganda, and not already hold ISO certification in any of the covered standards. Eligible sectors include energy, electrical services, instrumentation, telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, hazardous waste management, transport, and logistics.

What you get

Selected enterprises receive sponsored training, coaching, mentorship, implementation support, and certification assistance in three management standards, which are ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management, and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety. The support is designed to help businesses establish or improve internal processes and management systems, though participation does not guarantee contracts or future business awards.
