Frontier Fellowship Programme 2026

Overview

The Frontier Fellowship is a free, 12-week programme that trains women as AI Deployment Consultants and places them directly into roles in UK small and medium-sized businesses. It is not a classroom course. It is a structured programme validated by employers, designed to take people with no technology background to a paid role in 12 weeks. Everyone who completes it leaves with a portfolio of real AI workflows, a four-week live project for their CV and direct connections to employers who are hiring.

What you get

The programme has three phases. In the training phase, Fellows learn to use AI tools that businesses use today, including Claude, Copilot and ChatGPT, build workflows, map business processes and learn how to identify where AI can help an organisation and design a solution. Every session is practical rather than theoretical.

In the live placement phase, Fellows join a team of four or five and deliver a real AI project for a real UK business, with a defined scope, a named client, weekly milestones and a signed deliverable at the end. In the career support phase, they receive interview coaching, CV preparation, confidence-building and direct introductions to employers. This includes Insight Days inside blue chip anchor employers and six months of continued support through the alumni network after graduation.

Who can apply

Applicants must be women aged 18 or over, based in London or the North West of England. They should be unemployed, looking to return to work, or in a job with too few hours or no way forward, and must not be in full-time education. No degree, technology background or prior experience with AI tools is needed.
