Diane Nash Fall Outreach Fellowship 2026
Overview
The Diane Nash Fall Outreach Fellowship 2026 is a paid, three-month fellowship that runs from August to November. It is designed to make a real difference in the lives of Black women. Fellows are responsible for direct voter contact, outreach and engagement, and infrastructure building, working with a national organization that promotes the interests of Black women.
The fellowship takes a fair-chance approach. Candidates are judged on their qualifications, skills and potential contributions, so a criminal background or a gap in work history is not a barrier to eligibility.
What you get
Fellows gain career experience with a national organization, learn from experienced leaders and advocates, and build a network of like-minded people. They also learn community-building skills, including how to build trust, strengthen relationships, identify community needs and bring people together around shared goals. A stipend is provided to every fellow.
Who can apply
The fellowship is for women on college campuses aged 18 to 22. Both the college and the applicant's living arrangements must be based in one of these U.S. states: Texas, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, North Carolina, Alabama or South Carolina.
Requirements
Applicants should have a strong dedication to empowering Black women and addressing issues that affect their communities, along with a background in social justice, advocacy or community organizing. They need the ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse groups, and a can-do attitude and willingness to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
