Crick PACE Postdoctoral Fellowship
Overview
The Francis Crick Institute in London, Europe's largest biomedical research institute under one roof, is offering Crick-PACE postdoctoral fellowships. The programme is a competitive four-year fellowship run with its partner universities: King's College London, University College London and Imperial College London. In this round, five four-year full-time fellowships will be awarded to outstanding candidates who develop innovative, collaborative projects between a Crick research group and a partner university research group.
Each fellow has a supervisor at the Crick and another in a partner university lab, giving interdisciplinary guidance and specialised technical training. Fellows are expected to divide their time equally between the two groups. Awards follow internal and external review and favour candidates with a clear, well-justified motivation for the collaboration.
Who can apply
Applicants should hold a PhD by the call deadline or be in the final stages of submitting it. They should have experience developing and pursuing independent research ideas, strong written and verbal scientific communication, a collaborative and cross-disciplinary approach and a commitment to reproducible research and open science.
What you get
The fellowships are full time, on site, with a salary from 47,500 GBP per year plus benefits, depending on skills and experience.
How to apply
Applicants provide a full research proposal developed with a Crick Group Leader and a partner university Group Leader, a statement of interest explaining why the combination of groups is needed for the project, a summary of their research experience, contact details of three internal and three external reviewers who could assess the application, and two academic referees.
