Overview

The ClimateCAP MBA Fellowship 2027 is a 12-month professional and academic development programme that runs from January to December 2027. Managed by the ClimateCAP Initiative at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, the programme prepares future business leaders to understand and address the intersections of climate change, business strategy, investment, innovation, and sustainable economic development. The initiative brings together selected students to expand their knowledge, build professional networks, learn from experts, and conduct practical work through a self-directed climate-action project.

Who can apply

The fellowship is open to students currently enrolled in MBA programmes around the world, provided they meet the programme enrolment and eligibility requirements. There are no geographical restrictions, and applicants may apply from any location globally.

What you get

Participants receive a combination of expert-led learning sessions, cohort-based collaboration, mentorship, and applied project experience. Fellows investigate a climate-and-business topic of interest, critically evaluate existing approaches, and produce a public-facing output based on their work. The official application page indicates that there is no application fee and no programme cost.

Requirements

Applicants must prepare materials including a video statement, short-answer questions, a detailed climate-action project proposal, and confirmation from a project advisor. Fellows are also expected to purchase a ticket and cover travel expenses to attend the ClimateCAP MBA Summit in New York City.

How to apply

Applications are submitted entirely online through the official application process.

Key dates

Applications open on 1 October 2026 and close on 26 October 2026. A brief virtual conversation may take place for shortlisted candidates in late November 2026, and selection notifications are issued in early December 2026. The fellowship runs from January to December 2027.
