ChangemakerXchange Opportunities 2027: Changemakers for Youth, China x Europe, and Changemakers for Equality Programmes

Overview

ChangemakerXchange offers three programmes designed to help young social entrepreneurs, community leaders, and social innovators strengthen their initiatives, develop leadership skills, and build international networks. These programmes include Changemakers for Youth 2027, ChangemakerXchange China x Europe, and Changemakers for Equality: East Africa & the Gulf. Each initiative focuses on supporting individuals who are actively addressing social, economic, environmental, or community challenges through practical, locally relevant solutions.

Who can apply

The programmes have distinct geographical requirements, thematic priorities, and selection processes, so interested applicants must carefully review the details of each opportunity. Changemakers for Youth 2027 supports individuals from Egypt, Germany, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Switzerland, and Tunisia, with German applicants required to have projects that create tangible impact in Eastern Germany. The China x Europe programme brings together twenty social innovators, split evenly with ten based in China and ten based in Europe. Applicants across these initiatives should already be taking action in their communities to address pressing challenges.

What you get

Depending on the specific programme, selected participants receive customised capacity building, mentorship, peer-to-peer learning, and access to a global community of changemakers. Benefits include participation in international summits or immersive retreats focused on peer learning, wellbeing, resilience, and collaboration. Participants also gain connections to experts, supporters, and potential funders, alongside opportunities to obtain seed funding for collaborative projects and cross-border initiatives. Alumni join the global ChangemakerXchange community, which connects more than 1,500 changemakers across over 130 countries.

Key dates

Applications for the upcoming cohorts open on 13 October 2026 and close on 9 November 2026. Applicants should ensure they are available to participate in all scheduled activities, including online sessions and in-person summits.
