Overview

The AWARD Women in Agriculture Leadership Program Fellowship 2026 (Cohort 2) is a two-year, non-residential fellowship. It aims to strengthen the capability, confidence and influence of African women scientists so they can lead and contribute to climate-responsive agricultural research and agrifood systems. It targets mid-career African women agricultural scientists working in national agricultural research institutions, government ministries, universities and international research organizations in Egypt, Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Senegal.

What you get

Selected Fellows take part in a series of activities, including a mentoring programme in which they are matched with a mentor and a mentee. They also attend training courses on leadership and negotiation skills, gender integration in climate adaptation, science communication and research proposal writing.
